Hi, I’m Eliana, the maker and designer behind my self-named business, Made By Eliana. I started my ceramics business in 2014 with my product offerings ranging from dinnerware, to home decor to handmade tiles. Everything is made from start to finish by me in my East Austin studio, using clays and glazes that I’ve formulated over the years. I use slab and slip-casting techniques for most of my production, with small batch and slow making in mind. In 2020, I started to explore handmade tiles by creating clay prototypes with line work patterns carved into them. I designed plaster molds for slip-casting tiles and soon began making samples for project inquiries. Since then, I’ve worked on custom kitchen backsplashes, partnered with interior designers for specific tile projects and collaborated on tiled coffee tables with Stampworthy Goods. As the sole maker, I value connecting with my clients and creating tile works that are designed specifically for their space. Samples are available on my website for purchase, but I love working directly with the clients to design the tile layout and bring their vision to life. I consider every backsplash a work of art for the home and truly one of a kind! I believe that the objects we bring to the table and home are important. That's why I take the time and care to create pieces that will make mealtimes more special, gatherings more meaningful and the home more beautiful, in hopes that you will enjoy each item as much as I enjoy making them. - Eliana
