ABOUT THE FOUNDER Beginning Teta... I've always been amazed by skin and have found great solace in my skincare rituals. But in 2019, out of nowhere, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. This meant, among other things, that my blood brain barrier doesn't work as it should, and I started scrutinizing every single thing I put into and onto my body. As someone who was pretty intentional about those things already, I was shocked to learn that some of the products I'd been using were not what they claimed to be. Like lots of people, I had been distracted by buzzwords and branding. When I realized how populated the market is by companies selling an idea but falling short in practice, I knew that I wanted to make an oil that people can have complete confidence in. Our vessel is precious and should be regarded as such by companies. We should be able to be carefree when giving ourselves a little love. Teta's mission is to provide wholesome and uncompromising slow beauty skincare. We aim to foster an atmosphere of kindness, as we believe when we practice sweet rituals it makes us more capable of uplifting and caring for others and the living world. So with that said, thank you for taking the time to get to know my story a little bit more and what drives us. xo jen
